The Founder

Taira Scott, Esq

Attorney Taira Scott, a Bay Area native, was born and raised in Vallejo, California. Attorney Scott knew at an early age that she wanted to pursue law. At 7, she wrote her first contract between her grandmother and herself. Attorney Scott's grandmother worked as a paralegal for Vallejo Legal Aid and later started her own legal document preparation business. Attorney Scott's late grandmother had dreams of being an attorney, which was passed down to her granddaughter.

Attorney Scott obtained her bachelor's degree from Alabama State University. A University that played an essential role in the Montgomery Bus Boycott. After obtaining her bachelor's degree, Attorney Scott received a paralegal certificate from Napa Valley College and a master's degree in Entertainment Business at Full Sail University. After receiving her master's degree, Attorney Scott attended and graduated from law school at Barry University School of Law in Orlando, Florida. Attorney Scott credits her time at Barry as a critical time in her life when she wanted to pursue a career in law to help others. “While I was at Barry, 17 year old Trayvon Martin was murdered, I spent time in Sanford speaking to the residents; at that moment, I knew that I wanted to be an advocate, but I wanted to educate people about the legal process.”

After graduating from law school, Attorney Scott relocated to the Bay Area, where she worked as a benefit authorizer for the Social Security Administration. Shortly after that, Attorney Scott passed the Wisconsin and California Bar. Attorney Scott has worked in various legal fields, including insurance defense, DUI defense, unlawful detainers, and social security claims.

Small town girl who strives to be a better attorney but an attorney that people can depend on. “I wanted to create a law practice surrounded by the areas of law I am passionate about. From my legal experience, I learned what clients needed: someone to fight for them and educate them. I feel that is something that is lacking in the field.”

Attorney Scott believes in being a community advocate in the legal world. “The only way to be better is to reach back and inspire others.”
